Galway Photo Walks

Nicholas Grundy has mentored Galway photo walks students since 2009. His photographs appear in publications such as National Geographic Traveller, Cara Magazine from Aer Lingus, Canada’s WestJet in-flight mag, and many more. In 2018-2019 he became the European Photography Ambassador for Razer Camera Phones. Nicholas’ fine art prints have been exhibited at art galleries in Melbourne and Berlin, and they appear in the collections of the University of Melbourne and in various private homes and institutions across Australia, Europe, and the United States.

As a public speaker he has given talks at TEDx Galway, the University of Melbourne, NUI – Galway, and many camera clubs around Ireland.

Many of the photographs found in his portfolio were created with point and shoot cameras and mobile phones, proving that you don’t need an expensive camera to create striking images. See if you can determine which photos were taken on a point and shoot instead of a DSLR – most people cannot!

One on One Photography Classes Galway

Walk around Galway’s beautiful lanes and canals, photographing the city’s iconic vistas. With Photography Classes Galway you will learn how to move away from your camera’s auto mode. Topics covered include: Revealing movement through long-exposure techniques, how to frame a scene, adjust your camera’s settings in low light and generally having fun photographing in a new environment.

One-on-one photography classes in Galway allow you to set the pace and you will have Nicholas’ full attention to answer any questions you may have.

I provide Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom classes which are customisable to suit all levels too. Many of my past students have gone on to work as photographers around the world. This is perhaps your only opportunity on the west coast or maybe even in Ireland in general to be personally mentored by a Getty Images artist and creative contributor.
